It was an order for 1.2 million units of bicillin for strep throat. I go into the room carrying the syringe and see this blonde sitting on the bed in a gown. She takes one look at the and said that is a big shot. I tell her it goes deep in her hip. I remember several years getting this and not being able to sit for a few days. I exlained that I could give this in 2 shots with a dose in each butt cheek. I told her that means two sticks but half of the medicine. I usually offer this to people who are small build. I came back and had her lie on her stomach and flipped opned her gown. I proceeded to give her one in each of her cheeks. That did burn, felt like my rear was on fire. After the first jab I pulled up my panties and pants thinking it was all over. But then the nurse said Honey, you must have a second dose in the other side! As mentioned above, apparently the total volume is too much for one injection so they divide it into two halves of a few cc each. My bottom is still sore and stiff two days later.
