I think all Doctors are sadistic. As a child, I never met a physician who didn't cause me pain, and as soon as I was old enough I refused to allow any medical personnel to touch me unless it was a life threatening situation.
I recall when I was about 18, my Mother asked me to come downtown for our annual flu vaccinations. Naturally, I turned her down, and - slightly confused by my answer - she asked for an explanation. I told her that I hated our GP and hoped he'd end up in prison for criminal malpractice.
Mom said she didn't understand why I felt this way (and more to the point) why I'd never discussed the matter previously. I replied that I didn't wish to talk about it any further, but the truth was that she'd never listened to my objections in the past, so there was no point in talking about it now.
My attitude has softened a little over the years, but I still feel a deep mistrust for medical professionals, especially the kind who harangue their patients into undergoing procedures they don't want. I feel nothing but contempt for their kind, and have no hesitation in telling them so when they overstep the mark.
