Our poor x-ray technician had her left foot run over by a resident trying to move her machine. I placed Celeste in a room and took off her shoe and sock. She is a tiny thing weighing in at 110 pounds. All of her toes were red and swollen. I placed a ice pack in a towel and wrapped it around her foot and then took her to X-ray. No broken bones , but some very badly bruised toes. She had a few abrasions to the top of her foot. The doctor told me to give her 60 mg toradol and 4 mg zofran. I came back in a few minutes carrying two small syringes and came and in and closed the door. She saw the two shots and said let me guess, I am going to get both of those in my butt. It will help you with the pain. Would you prefer I get a female nurse I asked her. NO. I have seen you give shots and your patients never complain. She laid on her stomach and I untied her brown scrubs and pulled them down to mid thigh. She had on a tiny pair of green panties which I pulled down. Her bottom was perfectly tanned. I slowly rubbed the alcohol across her left hip and then pinched her muscle and gave her the zofran. Afterward I slowly massaged her hip. Then I repeated the process in her righthip , but this time she yelled out as I started injecting saying it felt like fire in her butt. It stings, but it is a good pain reliever. I know she said. My foot no longer hurts, not it is my butt. I rubbed her bottom a few minutes and when I stopped she said unless you need to go please continue it is making it feel better. Afterward I placed her in a soft shoe and she handed me a piece of paper and said after work stop by if you don't mind. I went over to her apartment and she met me at the door wearing a night shirt and bare foot. She handed me a beer and told me to sit on the couch. She then laid acorss my lap and pulled up her top exposing her bare butt which still had the 2 bandaids. Your lucky night, go to work and give me another one of those deep massages like you did earlier. MY bottom is still aching she said. Well you did not have much muscle for that that medicine to be absorbed in.
