I work part time at Petmarts. I was in the kitten enclosure cleaning the cats cages and cut my arm on a cage door. Two days later I get this red streak going up my arm and my boyfriend takes me a urgent care center. The doctor told me I had a infection. I was told I needed a tetanus and a shot of rocephin. I was sitting in the chair when the nurse came back carrying two syringes. One was small and the other larger. He said I need you to loosen your shorts and lay on your stomach. That is when I realized I was going to get these two shots in my butt. I said can't you just give them in my arm. He said no it goes in a large muscle. My boyfriend said I will step out. NO I said. I want you in here with me. I unzipped my shorts and pushed them down to mt knees and laid on the table. The nurse pulled down my red panties exposing my entire bottom. He told me to turn my toes inward. I felt huim squeeze my left cheek and then a bee sting as he gave me the tetanus shot. As he uncapped the second syringe he says now this one is going to sting. I jumped as he jammed the longer needle in my right hip. I started crying as he started injecting. I hurt so bad. Afterward the nurse told my boyfriend that he might want to rub my hip. It hurt really bad at first, but then the pain gradually got better. I have to go back tomorrow for one more shot.

Be tankful it was not the dreaded Pasteur Treatment requiring, at least in my case, 21 injections in my belly. Today that's pretty much gone, but there were those days not that long ago where a very long needle and thick serum went into your abdomen.

And it only required you to be on your back, your pants slightly lowered and your underpants slightly lowered too. Then that swab of alcohol and the painful long needle in through your skin, through the fat layer and into the muscle. No fun!
