The point about one of the judges running an online feis and not sending out prizes is indeed true. I am a parent of one of the dancers. The competition was in September last year. We asked our teacher for a refund and she has asked WIDA to intervene but they are just ignoring her. Other teachers asking too and this is fact because I was shown the Facebook post on their page just this week. I was shocked to see the organiser from California was a judge at the worlds in Belgium. Of course we were not going to challenge her there as she was a judge and there was no chance to do this. If she is not able to refund or send prizes then she should not be judging until she does. I cannot understand why she was appointed as a judge when she has been so dishonest and still has entry fees paid without sending prizes. An explanation and apology from WIDA would be better than radio silence which is downright rude. I wish our teacher would move to another association as my children do not want to move dance schools. I have watched the avoidance techniques on here with dismay too.
