Subject: 9-13-11, Editor: Bill Boyer Avoids Voting on Budget, Steve Voss Walks Out of Budget Vote

Bill Boyer did not show up for the Council meeting. He did not call in advance to be "excused." He had stated, publicly...at the last budget meeting...that "I'm not voting for this budget anyway." He was true to his word.

Steve Voss walked out of the meeting on Wed night, just before the vote on the budget, without saying why. Thurs. Jack got an email saying that he was "under the weather" and had to leave.

In short, 2/5 of the Council abandoned their responsibilities to contribute to the discussion and
development of a budget and make a final vote. A motion to have the vote on the budget to be held in abeyance until a meeting could be held at which those two would appear and vote. The vote failed for a lack of a second.

Why are we paying these men $ 475/month if they are not fulfilling their duties to participate in good
faith in Council meetings?
