Hello, darkness, my old friend... I've come to talk with you again.

Deyt's sad, grey eye opens, then flickers shut with a long sigh. The current still laps at the striped's side, though no more blood is brought with it. Immersing herself once more in the crystal-blue water, drifting idly in the deeps, the Korat lets the liquid reimbue her with refreshment and life from the most uncharacteristic sleep. Resurfacing, she heaves her healed body back onto her rock and counts her remaining wounds. The right forearm still malfunctions, and her back leg might forever retain a slight limp. But that is the price you pay for killing. The half-foot gash inh er side is only three-quarters healed, and pangs with agony as she twists to inspect it. Aside from that, nothing remains from the fight except more tatters to her fur and new scars to mar her gaunt body. Cold smoke flicks its slow trail through the trees inspecting every nook and shadow with care.

A darker blackness remains in the wake of a Koratree, a torn cloak... Mourrnbrringerr.

'I am not Mourrnbrringerr rright now.'
Then... Deyt. You arre wounded.
'Morre than you would believe. Infinity is morre of a burrden than I'd thought it would be.'
You grrow ussed to it in time, Deyt. Afterr a few eterrnities.
'I don't want to live that long. I...'
... want to die?
Deyt remains silent, head bowed and eye closed in thought. After a long time, her head shakes, and she looks up... only to see that her audience had disappeared into the folds of time. 'Not yet, Kain. Not yet.'
