Deyt gazes into space, metal-hued eye blank and distant. She remains this way for a very long time; blinking sparsely, healing, thinking. As her natural healing systems are greatly impaired - the main reason for her massive number of scars - it takes a long time for such wicked wounds to recover. Luckily she'd bathed and preened them in time to halt infection, which plagued her often in her younger years, and that was never a pro.

A soft sigh emits, as the steely eye closed completely and remains so. After a few moments of rest, she rises, wound in side still unhealed. A rouge tongue, and even that is cut and scarred, grooms the inch-deep line in her flank, saliva penetrating the abraision and hopefully aiding the process. Lifting her mutilated skull, the Korat rises further, standing on her paws upon the flat slab of rock as the curent drags quietly around them. Motionless for a while, the hybrid finally leaps to the bank and makes for the centre.
