((OOC- Just an FYI... those subject lines are how Erashun feels when I type each post. It differs, but you notice a consistent theme of silence and snow. It doesn't really reflect the weather or anything. *G* Okay, onto the post. Bwah.))

The silk-furred male pauses as three of his companions do, but he remains facing forward, ears only swiveling backwards to better attend their answers. Gazing into the rushing waters of the river, he listens in silence. To each he replies, in a quiet but liquid voice, much like that of the river. "Zrego... such is a common answer from most Korats. I sense that this is not the absolute truth." Though he does not say it aloud, try again is clearly the unspoken urge emanating from the white. A light but low chuckle escapes when he hears Yoshi's response before he lets his blade drift to point its glimmering tip at his pack leader's sister. "Come now Yoshi, is that all? I've heard Shula's stories of your uncanny intuition more than once. Surely some of that is at work?" The same try again push comes from these sentences as well, though neither telepathed nor vocalized.

His head turns at Jysulehn's answers, and deep silver orbs lock on her burgundy frame. All given in response is a deep nod, beard briefly pooling and cascading against his mane before twisting lightly in the soft breeze. And then Deyt speaks. Words that would get under his pack-brother's skin are taken in stride by the mammoth Korat, who, after a long moment regarding Jysulehn, turns his muzzle towards the striped that tops his height by only a few inches. He listens in sheer silence, breath steady and slow, hardly to be heard even by his companions unless they were to listen very hard. A soft rumble comes from his chest at Deyt's question, not quite a laugh but a far cry from a growl - a noise that seems almost... not sympathetic... but empathic in its compassion.

"Because it is not mine to withhold."

Erashun does not smile, but his eyes seem to warm with (brotherly) affection. "The wisdom I have gained is only through my experiences, the paths I have walked and the battles I have fought. By far, it is those quiet, gentle paths that have taught me the most. Most Korats only learn from their battles, focusing their entire being on simply surviving on Lavana and winning the next fight, succeeding on the next hunt. I offer them what I've learned, for many cannot walk these paths for sheer pressure to survive. Lavana is not a benign mistress; too often do I see individuals of my race, my brothers and sisters, barely able to stay alive from day to day. I myself have no such trouble doing so, nor do famine and violent weather plague my home. I share what I have been given as it was never mine to capture and restrain in the first place. It is mine only for a moment, and then it passes to those who listen."
