If you do go the taildragger route its worth setting the main wheels slightly forward of the position recomended in the original build manual. Otherwise the tail is very light and can lift under heavy braking (not helped by the brakes getting a bit snatchy on the first outing after a layup).

There is a revised recomended dimension but I can't remember what it is.
