The early versions were glass with a foam core. These proved to be marginal and were subsequently replaced with a solid glass gear without any foam core. I have the later solid glass main gear and have around 500 landings without any problems at all. I operate from 450 metres of grass which does have a few bumps and ridges, and it gets a bit muddy. As such, I would suggest that the solid glass gear is perfectly ok. Of course, any gear design is subject to the vagaries of poor landing technique!!!
