 What is happening in recent years with Miss Teen USA Top 5 delegates returning to Miss USA and not making the cut?

In the last 10 years, there have been 4 Miss Teen USA Top 5 delegates that have made the cut at Miss USA:
Sydnee Stottlemyre (4th RU @ Miss Teen USA 2011, Top 10 @ Miss USA 2016)
Marley Stokes (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2016, Top 8 @ Miss USA 2021)
Sydni Dion Bennett (3rd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2018, 3rd RU @ Miss USA 2021)
Caitlyn Vogel (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2019, 1st RU @ Miss USA 2021)
Kirby Elizabeth Self (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2018, Top 20 @ Miss USA 2023)
Kaylee Brooke McCollum (3rd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2019, Top 20 @ Miss USA 2024)

In the same time period, there have been 11 Miss Teen USA Top 5 delegates that have not made the cut at Miss USA.
2015: Brooke Fletcher (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2009) and Julia Dalton (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2008)
2016: Haley Sowers (4th RU @ Miss Teen USA 2010)
2017: Katie Coble (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2007)
2018: Tori Sizemore (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2013)
2019: Haley Holloway (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2013)
2020: Jane Axhoj (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2015)
2021: Sydney Robertson (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2014, also Congeniality)
2024: Sydney Taylor (4th RU @ Miss Teen USA 2020) and Shayla Montgomery (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2020)

However, there was no former Teen runner-up competed in Miss USA 2022.

AFAIK, the following Teen USA Top 5 delegates from 2015-2022 could be still eligible for Miss USA following the removal of age restrictions and married individual would allow to compete, the new changes were former Teen winners are ineligible to compete in the state level once again.

With the Teen and Miss competitions are back on TV, is there even a point for Top 5 Teens to return to Miss USA?

And at least we never forget Ayzjiahna Wood, who was the 4th runner-up in Miss Teen USA 2021 and went on to win the Miss Teen Volunteer America 2024 title. (NT)No name
