Subject: Business deals do not work that way. Sorry. What Laylah agreed to is irrelevant. The sales agreement between MAOShantel and Robin made zero mention of scholarships owed or funds owed by MAOShantel to MAF. Therefore not legally obligated to pay them either directly or as part of the charted debts to which the pledge applied. Sorry. That is the case. MAF should have demanded publicly that Shantel actually turn over the funds for the scholarship awards she announced. Shantel kept announcing them but no monies went to MAF and they went along with pretending they were awarding scholarships. The four corners of a contract control the offer, acceptance and consideration. NOWHERE are the scholarships noted in the agreement Robin and Shantel etc signed. That is a real shame I know but that is on the former MAO and MAF leadership. Subject Author Date Thank you for your insight. As I see it, as a former donor, a National program book was published and sold to thousands that listed scholarship amounts to be awarded by MAO. Whomever owns that name is responsible for this debt. (NT) I don't see MAF as the bad guy. I know girls who got their checks from MAF, Not from MAO tho. Why? Did MAO expect MAF to fund raise? Why did MAF si on the sidelines and year after year go along with this misprepresntation. The Girls owed money should sue Shantell and the MAO board members. I think Delaware allows suits for a few years against dissolved corporations. MAF should also be suing Shantel and her gang. But debts do not pass automatically. Sorry that is just how it is.
