Subject: Is Miss America and subsequent state organizations actually responsible for the safety of contestants under their care during pageant week? Is this a legal obligation? Like if something were to happen to someone, are they legally responsible?

I believe every girl (in my state) fills out a medical emergency form and includes a copy of their insurance cards. We also have had a nurse as a dressing room volunteer for years. (NT)No name

all the states have liability insurance through Miss America its part of their state franchise they pay each year. It also covers locals (NT)No name

That is a great question, also do they have a legal relationship/duty if something happens to a local title holder while they are with sponsor's of their state ED? (NT)No name
