Today is the big day got the final part of the Temporary Injunction hearing. If the judge decides to rule on the spot, we may have our answer as to who will be running Miss America for the foreseeable future (at least until the final trial in a year or so).

At this point the trial (called a Temporary Injunction) is over. This trial was to determine who gets to manage Miss America until another trial (probably at least another year away) will determine the actual owner. It this point both sides will file their final arguments/summaries and then the judge will decide. I bet we get a ruling in about a month. In my opinion, I feel like the judge will partially decide in favor of Glenn. The judge does seem very fair and impartial but a lot of his smaller rulings on motions and such all seem to go Glenn’s way at this point. (NT) No name

Every single ED should be blowing up her phone - and Ryan's too. What a freaking scammer. What was she hoping to do? Win Glenn's money and put the money back before anyone noticed? And how does anyone know she only took out the retainer amount? Which BTW, I think it's BS that she couldn't remember how much that retainer was- she knows EXACTLY how much that was. I'd bet $100 (you know, the full amount she paid for MA) that she didn't want to have to admit on the stand how much that was. If she couldn't come up with the cash for the retainer, how has she come up with the cash for the legal bills? This has been dragging on for months and apparently she thinks quantity is more important than quality when it comes to that. So how is she paying them?? Yep we knew this already she just confirmed it on the stand and tried so hard to lie her way around it. The lawyer got really tough with her and said “it’s a yes or no question” and she had to admit it. He also asked her was she currently collecting scholarship money for that same account and she tried to play dumb and say “well we’re not a collections agency.” But then eventually had to admit that that was true that she is accepting “donations” for scholarships. Maybe I am missing something but the Scholarship corporation was sued by Straub and is a defendant. Therefore it is perfectly fine for attorney's fees to be paid by that entity. Unless funds are restricted they can be used for operating expenses. (NT) No name

I think it's a bit dramatic to say "those of us who have given our lives". Regardless, this has always been, and continues to be, a volunteer organization. You are free to walk away at any time and pursue other interests. I did that a few years ago, and am much happier to be away from the frustration. I will always hold fond memories of my time working with MAO and still hold great friendships with the women I met and mentored over the years, as well as the other volunteers I worked with. But knowing when to walk away is also important. When you no longer support the leadership or mission of the program, you are better off to pack it up and move on. People are involved for different reasons. Our state is still thriving. We will have more contestants in 2025 than we did this past summer. Our cash scholarshisps will be the highest ever and we pay all scholarships. Our Miss State is booked throughout the year and travels the state making appearances. We still have wonderful sponsors who provide so much to opur winner and to all of our contestants. Miss Ameirca is one week of the 52 weeks they serve. And most of our winners, even the most recent, have enjoyed their Miss Ameirca experience. Were they perfect? No. But they weren't perfect 25 years ago either. When our state pageant is no longer making an impact I will walk away. For now, we are doing well. Do I wish MIss Ameirca would improve? YES. It is only one reason many of us are involved.
