So for me, I hold responsible the people that got MAO to the brink of financial extinction. And that was a steady progression over the course of 30 years, where each new leadership team took the program further down. The demise of MAO started under Leonard Horn, when all aspects of talent and onstage beauty were ignored, while they crowned interview queens, who were going to testify before Congress. While amateur talent programs were exploding in popularity, MAO was having women in evening gowns talking about death statistics associated with all of societies ills, and people just scratched their heads and tuned out. -- Guru Message Board
