Subject: It has always been my understanding that Boardwalk Hall had to be equipped each year for TV...that it was not "TV Ready." However, they televise basketball tournaments in there sometimes and I would think that would have to be more difficult than a pageant. As for the attendance at Miss America, it DEFINITELY went down those last few years.

In reply to: But I still miss walking into that huge arena for a few hours enjoying pageant fun. 's message, "It might have been the expense of getting the hall ready .the cost of the tickets to do so maybe with no financial help from AC The last year it was there it was not nearly as full as it used to be. The Prelim nights were really down in attendance. I also think MAO was charging lot for season tickets packages" on 11:26:24 10/22/24 Tue

There was nothing wrong with AC. It was economically better. Hoping it goes back home soon. (NT)No name

Boardwalk Hall was NOT TV ready. They even had to bring in their own extension cords, and it always had high production costs, even back in the heyday of Miss America. (NT)No name
