Subject: Did people forget how to compromise? Host in Tennessee during the normal Miss America time (August? September? Now December?). Or host in Orlando but in June when Volunteer has their nationals. I understand where people are coming from with the history, but I think a lot of the history/tradition was already lost when MAO removed swimsuit and moved out of Atlantic City.

The latter would cause disruption of the summertime state MAO pageants. If it had to be---Miss America in Jackson, Tennessee in September or October.For tradition sake to say nothing of uprooting traditional plans---keep states in the summer.
