When did Ron die at age 86? By the way, Ron did not just step-in to take over from Bert Parks as if Mr. Parks was out ill----Ron replaced Bert Parks.Ron Ely was fine as host but liked that they had Gary Collins for nine years.

In case anyone missed it earlier this Sunday morning----CBS Sunday Morning had their usual weekly "In Memoriam" and at least they honored and recognized Ron Ely among the six others who died this past week---only Ron's death was nearly a month ago and inexplicably just announced earlier this week. They showed a clipof a near-naked Ron yelling the Tarzan roar and a tv promo head-shot picture. Nice tribute.

Remembering Ron Eley, one he was so handsome and two, the way he handled the thunderous ovation for Paige Phillips, Miss Alabama and first runner-up to Susan Powell. For me, only one other moment rivaled that in comparison and that was the applause for Heather Whitestone and Regis just let it go on. There are other moments I'm sure but those two are favorites of mine. (NT)No name
