In reply to: 's message, "After all the negativity about the pre-show, I was happy to see a typical Miss Universe production. Stage looked wonderful and the flow of the competition worked well. i do think our off-stage commentators got far too much airtime. If they had cut out all those segments, it could have been a two-hour show. And I agree that Robin Thicke was dreadful. As for the results, I guess I am in the minority here because I had Denmark as the clear fourth runner-up. On her first question, she ended by saying "I wouldn't change nothing about myself" and I didn't think the judges would tolerate such a grammatical error. I generally prefer blondes in pageants, but she did not fit the Miss Universe mold. My pick when it came time to narrow the five was Venezuela third runnerup, Mexico second, and in a close call I had Nigeria edgint out Thailand." on 00:29:16 11/17/24 Sun

Roku was a sponsor. I don't mind Cat and Zuri. The time we had to listen to them was to fill the commercial space for Telemundo which was the primary network. Robin Thicke looked like he got irritated and walked off the stage. Denmark is an acquired taste especially for miss universe. But her responses were most genuine that combined with beauty, the judges got it right. Nigeria easily was neck and neck, I would say Nigeria was stronger overall but different night, different judges. I am beyond elated mexico got eliminated, it humbled the Mexicans. Thailand and Venezuela were both fair but both were a step down from previous reps. But can we celebrate Filipinas getting eliminated at top 12 ,she looked ridiculous in that blue ballroom gown. And poor USA, she is a national embarrassment. (NT)No name

I can't even have a thought about Cat or Zuri because their scripts are ridiculous. Is it physically possible for there to be even a single ounce of actual commentary in pageants like this instead of just some iteration of 'Wow they're beautiful AND smart!' over and over again? It's honestly ridiculous and a complete non-starter for even a conversation about a return to network television. The hosts here are smart people; can they not possibly work in anything that is not complete drivel? The ONLY intelligent, interesting commentary I have seen in at least a decade at Miss Universe was in 2022, when they commentators had interesting nuggets about the girl's swimsuit capes. (NT)Otherwise, it is the same drivel over and over and over.
