In reply to: 's message, "A couple of years ago, I was at a pageant at there was a contestant that I really liked. She did not win and after the crowning she went on to act in a very unbecoming way on the stage (refusing to congratulate or even clap for the winner, making rude comments and then stomping off the stage). She then posted really hurtful and rude things on social media about the judges, state board and winner. She didn't compete for a year or two and then I saw recently that she recently won a local pageant. My question is, do Pageant Directors have the right to tell someone they can not compete again? That kind of behavior seems like it should not have to be tolerated? I just can't imagine having to work with the girl if she goes on to win this year." on 11:33:10 11/18/24 Mon

So, one night of bad behavior and she’s blackballed? I think we can give her a little grace. I’ve seen many people act ridiculous after losing but I think it’s a forgivable offense, otherwise most girls won’t be allowed to “compete again”. Let’s hope she’s grown up and learned to smile and be nice until she gets to the car. It’s ok to be mad but no need to make anyone else feel bad. (NT)No name

Yeah, maybe that was a bad example on my part. I know there have been a lot of other incidents that are more severe like bullying and criminal charges. I was just wondering if directors have the discretion to ban someone for any reason. To be honest, the girl in my example was my favorite that year and I had predicted her for the win. I really hope she has done some growing because I think she has great potential. (NT)No name
