Subject: I don't have last year's program book handy, so instead I'm going to compare this year to the class of 2023:

In 2023, they gave out OVER $300k in scholarships to Miss Contestants alone. Everyone received at least $3K for participating, the winner won $50K, 1st. Runner up $25K 2nd $20K 3rd RU $15k, 4th RU $10K and the remainig finalists each got $8.5K. That total does NOT include the STEM/Jean Bartel/Women in Business/Allman/etc scholarships that the MAF holds on behalf of Miss America.

This year, the total amount being awarded is $124K, which is less than many states.

But has anyone actually gotten their money that year or any year since Robin and Glen have been the owners? And then there is the entire class of 2021. Was anything paid except what was given to the Miss America Foundation to give such as Jean Bartel 's Military Award. Nothing else was ever paid with regards to scholarships that year, so while you are concerned about the amount it doesn't matter. No check will be written. (NT)And yet we keep telling girls to enter for the scholarships?
