There is a hearing set for January 2, 2025, right in the middle of Miss America. This hearing is back with the state court (ie the original ownership case) and not in the federal court. Here’s what has happened recently:

1. Robin’s original $500 million federal lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice by a federal judge. The judge called it as “shotgun pleading,” which is a lawsuit that contains an excessive amount of facts without clear organization. The judge admonishes it for having 144 pages and over 800 paragraphs long, written by 6 attorneys in 2 different law firms. Judge says it is done “only to inflate the Complaint with unsavory information about Defendant Straub.” The judge points out the reference to the age of his girlfriend and the insensitive racial situation as two examples.

Robin has filed an amended version of the lawsuit that contains 104 pages this times. To me it reads aknots exactly the same as the first version, but obviously sections have been taken out to get the length down. Judge has not ruled on the validity of this version yet.

2. Glenn Straub revoked his Bankruptcy lawsuit and is now solely focused on winning in the state court with the original case. He is asking the judge to move forward with the ownership court case and to make a decision soon. While Robin is arguing that her case is back in the federal court and therefore she wants a “stay” with the state case, his attorneys will be arguing that she didn’t file a real amended case along the changes the judge asked, but instead just took out sections and re-filed quickly so that she could say that she does in fact have a case in federal court.

January 2 will be very interesting!

How will that work with the pageant in full swing? Will Robin have to leave the competition to attend the hearing? I feel so bad for the girls about to go compete. The amount of uncertainty they must feel. (NT)No name
