Subject: Were we watching the same prelim? There were only 2 or 3 talents that were worthy to be on the national stage. The only saving grace were the stunning gowns paired with marginal talent. Subject Author Date Talent is only 25% of the scoring - it doesn't have to be spectacular to be a winner. Volunteer looks for well-rounded women, not the best interviewer or most talented like MAO or the most glamorous at USA. The teen's walks, introductions, and glam are on another level this week than other teen competitions I've seen as a whole. Nebraska was the stand out vocalist, and won rightfully so, but there were 3 other vocalist that were equally strong. And NY and California dancers were breathtaking.
