Subject: This is nothing new and nothing to get upset about. Sure, I prefer that my representative be from my state, but that does not always happen. State hopping is allowed and happens often. Competing in a small, non-competitive state gives you a better chance to make nationals. I can see why they do it. I do not like it, but welcome to the real world.

I think some of these women are appointed. I remember a longtime Miss Tennessee contestant represented South Dakota in the first Volunteer America pageant. (NT)No name
