Competition-wise, I think she's the best Miss America we've ever had. Absolute slam-dunk win; best in all areas of competition. (NT)Left-Brain Pageant Fan

Judi was crowned in the years that Miss America allowed contestants to have their own personal hair stylist backstage. She had an excellent hairdresser . (NT)No name

Judy was the runaway winner that year. She is not my favorite of all time, but she is definitely in my Top 5. My favorite, without a doubt, is Heather French. Heather nailed the final interview. (NT)Pageant Fan

Trampoline was a fairly new sport at the time Judi competed at Miss America. The first international competition was in 1964. The trampoline was not even invented until WWII. Judi was a good diver and to improve her diving, she was advised to practice on the trampoline. It was not an Olympic sport until 2008 (NT)No name
