Too Many. Too many pageants, too many changes (often last minute), too many coaches. Back in the dark ages, Miss A, Miss USA and the handful of smaller for profit systems were the only games in town. Each had their scoring & categories solidly in place, coaches knew what states were looking for & what would a girl would need to be competitive at national. Don & Bill had lots of successful girls; Lu was the one for USA walks. Now the rules fluctuate on a near monthly basis. Coach to interview strong on your platform becomes, in front of the judges, tell me your marketing plan. Swimsuit walk is now a high school romp across the stage. I do not believe there is a single top coach, instead - trust your local/state boards -- Guru Message Board
