My parts list included a new expansion valve but according to the dealer it is the same expansion valve that is used on the R12 systems now. The drier tank is also the same as the one used on the R12 systems but according to the computer at the dealer it is the same part for the 134a conversion. I was told that I do not need to replace the pressure switch.

My A/C right now warms up on idle and cools once I raising up the revs while driving. I would think this might be due to lower pressures. But the compressor does not cut-off either (or it doesn't seem to cut-off) with the R12 pressure switch. I am trying to resolve this before temperatures start rising again here.

I think something is off here. Thanks for your input!
