Well then, if the tires hold air and have enough tread to be legal, you're good to go.
Offset is the measure of distance from the inside of the wheel that mates with the hub to the center of the rim.

This site also has good info on what wheels/tires others have used with successs.
Offset matters only if it's too big or too small and the tires rub the suspension or rub the fenders.
