[> [> [> Subject: There is absolutely nothing strange about Victoria doing this. She does want to focus on opera. That’s probably why she’s doing it. She has always said she wants to try to graduate debt free. The winner gets $10,000. Perfectly logical. It’s not all about the money, of course, but let’s be honest, it helps.

From what I understand they look for a life/pageant balance. The girl can still go to school, or keep her job, and not have to take a year off. This day and age with social media, Zoom and other technologies (not to mention the continuous Covid outbreaks), a winner could be far more impactful in a more efficient manner.

[> [> [> Subject: Kinda sick of seeing this comment. My daughter loved her time with the Atlanta board and other formers have nothing but nice things to say about them. Based on the farewell speeches the young ladies had a great year. Kudos to this system and this board. They are doing a great job and I expect great things from them and this system.

[> Subject: Blown away by the Quality of the competition in this pageant! Although they didn’t have a large number of contestants, the ones they had were amazing, in both teen and Miss! Kudos to the Georgia board for recruiting in such a thoughtful way, especially in light of all the obstacles thrown up by the MAO Organization. Congrats to Victoria and Kaitlyn and best wishes for a fabulous year in this exciting new system!

[> [> Subject: Agree, I think we will see more girls make the switch. MAO (even at state level) is becoming so obvious picking who the board wants, not high score - the final ballot is a direct throwback to the racism roots - now extending to size, body art (piercings/tattoos), orientation, even hair color or length!
