Subject: I think a lot of girls are just tired of pageants in general- the backhanded deals, cheating, backstabbing, etc. It’s gotten old, leadership is bad in many states and allows the garbage to happen. Also, pageants are just not “relevant” anymore. It’s a huge investment of time and money. The older a young woman gets, the more she sees through the whole mess. College age girls trying to win scholarships is great but once a young woman enters the workplace, she sees through the BS, especially in MAO now.

For almost every teen or miss competing in MAO it is a losing proposition if scholarship money is their reason for competing. This is especially true for those involved from the princess stage. When you add wardrobe, fees, lessons, gas, hotels, etc you are well into the red. If scholarship money is what you want then apply yourself to your education. I could not sgree more with the corruption, rigged competition, politics and the irrelevance of pageants in general.
