[> Subject: At the state boards meeting in Jackson during MVA, Allison said she and Robin (CEO of MAO) had spoken and agreed that girls sgould be encouraged to compete in as many systems that they want to. Apparently MAO state directors have been told not to discourage participation in MVA or any other system.

[> Subject: I think there's been a lot more lee-way with MVA than other systems in the past. As long as they compete at nationals and fulfill any other state duties that THEIR STATE requires, I think state titleholders are given freedom after nationals. Miss Washington Volunteer got married last year after nationals but before she gave away her title, and it was all approved because nobody cared and it was after nationals.
