Subject: NY was top 5 or top 10 at OK each year she competed; was a prelim winner and a heavy favorite in NY before she was removed from competition.

[> [> [> Subject: Not related to her, never met her, but I did attend the pageant and she was, in fact, a favorite after prelims. I think most people agreed with the eventual winner, but Jordan, Natalie, Marissa and the 1RU (I forget her name) were all in the conversation. Also, people knew she competed well in OK, which is a notoriously tough state in which to crack the top 5; so yes, she was seen as one of the favorites. Maybe not to win, but a definite top 5. I personally had her as first or second RU. She's a strong competitor and now that she gets to compete in SS and Gown, I expect her to be event stronger - she's just stunning on stage. When she came out in gown, everybody knew she won that prelim - and she did.

[> [> [> [> Subject: The 1RU’s name is Taryn, and she is returning this year! I really liked her and thought with a better talent selection, she could have won last year. I agree with you that Jordan was on most top 5 lists last year - both before and especially after prelims. I thought it would come down to her and Sydney, with Sydney winning. It was a strong top 4 and I think JS would have rounded it out perfectly had she been able to compete finals night.

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Still with this? No one said she didn’t break a rule. She did. There just didn’t seem to be any ill intentions behind it. She needed to clean a competition garment, but she wasn’t supposed to remove it from the dressing room. That’s the rule, she broke it, was held accountable. Same sorta thing happened to Monique Evans in TX, although her situation seemed a bit more egregious. She had pro hair and makeup people, which is not allowed. She got the boot, but was able to come back the next year (and won). All that seems fine to me. You’ll have to ask her why she’s doing Volunteer, but I don’t believe she’s banned from MAO. I can imagine there are hurt feelings, so I can’t blame her for moving on. It’s not that dramatic, people.
