Castor oil is terrible in many ways. First, the black Jamaica type is thick and horrid and has a terrible lingering taste. The immediate effect is nausea which is bad enough. Then you can feel it more or less move through you causing nasty cramps and the anticipation of knowing you will soon lose control.

When it does kick in you have little warning and no control. The expulsion is sudden, violent and massive. And you end up after the initial bursts of having this uncontrolled dribbling and agonizing cramps that last for at least several hours. During that time leaving the bathroom is a very risky business.

Truly a miserable but effective form of punishment.
