Y: Yay!!! I am an apprentice Harper!!!
A: Congrats!
Y: Thanks. So anyhoo, All the journeymen are currently posted so I'm waiting for lessons to start at the Hall.
A: I actually talked to a Dolphin!!! Her name was Sina and she was asking me if I had seen her calf and I hadn't, but we got to talking. We were on the dock when this flit winks in and drops an egg in my lap. I'm like woah!!! Where did this come from!!! And so I sent Oriona (my blue) in for some meat and just as he gets back, this Brown fire lizard emerges!
Y: you have 2 flits now???
A: Yeah. So I named him Balasubramanian, or-
Y: Balasubramanian?
A: Yeah, that trader that came through when we were younger, the brown kind of reminded me of him. We call him Bala for short.
Y: And you thought Plato was a weird name for a flit.
A: Well it is.
Y: So back to the point, you were talking to a dolphin�
A: Oh yeah. So she says she wants to see a flit and at the moment Oriona isn't around so I showed her Bala. We were getting along (I thought) and I was going to ask her if she had a partner yet.
Y: And?
A: Well then Master Aranye's flit drops a not on the dock and I pick it up and it says to come to the Training Hall for some
Y: Training?
A: How did you know? Anyhoo, so I had to run off and I still don't know if she has a Partner or not.
Y: Oh. What was Oriona doing?"
A: Oh, he flew a green in a mating flight.
Y: Ohhhh. Ok, now I can tell the story, I know what happens next. So Oriona tells you that the Green laid and left.
A: Yes
Y: And you remembered the pact we made in Ruatha
A: These 2 guys we knew in Ruatha, Wyvern and Ravn, we all made a pact that when one of us got a fire Lizard and it had a clutch, we'd give an egg to the others.
Y: I know that. So you send a message to me asking me to go get the eggs for the guys. And I go out in the Courtyard and there's this huge Blue Dragon waiting for me.
A: So I told Lilit and Sanith too.
Y: So then we get the eggs and send one to Ravn.
A: what about Wyvern?
Y: Hold your Runnerbeasts, I'm getting there. So Sanith tells Lilit that Wyvern is at the Xandu hatching and can't egg-xactly leave.
A: Ohhhh. You are terrible at puns.
Y: I can't hear you� So we write a note to Wyvern telling him to get hisself over to the Hall as soon as he's done or I'm taking his egg.
A: Not funny
Y: So then Lilit went and got him when he was done.
A: Did he impress?
Y: How should I know, Weyrlings can't fly yet so it makes sense that he would need to be picked up�
A: Yeah, So anyway, ask him.
Y: I will, I will.
A: So while she is flying around and having fun
Y: You call Between fun???
A: Anyhoo, I was in the Training Hall working. I got all the gear, like a wetsuit, aqua-lung, flippers and mask and stuff. Then we learned all these signals like stop, surface, and minor distress.
Y: Minor distress?
A: Yeah, the example she used was like if your blade was caught or I suppose if a flipper fell off and you couldn't find it or something like that.
Y: Ohhhh. Better learn that one, you'll need it.
A: Very funny Miss, "Oh, what happens if I jump off the roof?" Or how about when you decided that climbing a tree and jumping off with a Wherry feather would make you fly?
Y: We were 8 turns old (approximately). What do you expect?
A: Excuses, excuses. A broken arm still hurts, no matter what age you are.
Y: How would you know? I'm the one who broke it. And I'm the one who broke her leg, not you.
A: Yeah but I still felt it.
Y: If we could get back to the point of our story�
A: What was it again?
Y: You were in training�
A: Ohhhh yeah, So it was lots of fun!!!
Y: I think that's enough for tonight, This is getting too weird�
A: Ok, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!
Y: 'Night! Like I said, this is getting too weird�
