Kalya paused a minute to think as she swallowed a meatroll. "Like I said, I think the main reason I want the queen is because I want to help Pern, to make it better, to actually have done something with my life..." she said thoughtfully, swirling her finger around in her klah absentmindedly. "I think everyone, at least a little, wants the queen for the prestige. Even me, though that's not my main reason. I guess it's just something most people who want the queen want. Did that make any sense?"
