She said she happened to get in trouble for something the day before a difficult exam and her mom blistered her bare butt with a hairbrush. She was a able to focus intensely on studying for the test that night and also on taking the test the next day and she unexpectedly did much better than she though she would. So the next time she had to take an exam she purposely provoked a spanking and got the same good results on the test. She said spankings before a test always worked for her. Hope this helps. I had thought about the studying part, but would say that a spanking gets you to being downright serious and focusing on what you have to do.
