oh yes spankings would aid me greatly in changing habits
Spanking in fact prevented me from starting smoking after mum spanked me when I was found hanging round with some (at the time) older lads who were smoking and she turned the corner just in time to see me reach for the offered offending cigarette

I never reached for or accepted or sought out another after that day, mum made sure of that

that said I would still think when I need to change a habit a spanking each time I indulged would help the transition to quitting

I consider myself an expert on this subject. Not because I was ever spanked to quit smoking but because I was hooked for many years. I did not quit cigarettes for good until 15 years ago, at age 55. My expert opinion is it is impossible to quit unless you really want to quit. A spanking may put you in the mindset to not have that first one after quitting, but it takes determination to stay quit.
