OMG I just think that is so unfair. I happen to have what I think is a big fat bottom so I would be paddled extra hard just because of that. That's just awful!!!

Of course it is not necessary to spank a big bottomed person harder, the pain nerves are on the surface of the skin. But this is a spanko trope (often racist) I have seen before on boards like this. There was a "woman" who claimed her husband was a principal and bemoaned how he hated having to paddle the black girls with their big butts harder since they might be pregnant.
Whether this kind of thing actually exists with any of those responsible for paddling kids in Texas schools I can't say. But, like Laura admitted, it is the kind of potential creepiness that whiffs around school corporal punishment, which is a good reason to abolish it, and leave the spanking to parents.
I agree with you 100 %. If this post is true it's just awful and if so schools need to abolish this and like you said leave it up to the parents. There are parents out there like mine who will definitely hold us accountable. MIne take school offenses very serious and if I do get in trouble at school my evening is very unpleasant.
