I learned over time it is perfectly normal for a boy to get an erection when he is spanked. Especially if it's bare bottom. In many cases it goes away during the spanking itself. It seems to be caused more by anxiety than by arousal. So it doesn't mean he is "turned on" by spanking. It's just more of a reflex action. If a parent is concerned about it but doesn't want to give up spanking as an disciplinary option, then they should consider not spanking over the knee. Have the boy lay on his stomach or bend over a piece of furniture. Also, don't call attention to the fact he is erect. I was fortunate, my mom never called attention to the fact I got erections when I was spanked.
