I'd seen kids in my neighborhood get switched usually on their bare bottom, legs or both. Frankly, I was horrified by the prospect of having it done to me. My mother and aunt talked about their father using a switch on them when they were little. How he made them undress completely and would "whip the blood out of them". Neither of them believed in using a switch on their children and I'm glad.

Ironically, My mom did plant a willow in our back yard and when I was fifteen. I "accidentally" ran over it with our riding mower. When I went in after finishing the yard, Mom asked if I was done mowing and I told her yes, then I apologized and told her I accidentally ran over the willow, she said, "I know" and then said, "Once was an accident, but three times was not." Then she got the belt and came back into the kitchen. I had to pull my pants down and got a really good bare butt spanking for intentionally running over her willow and then lying, calling it an "accident". That was the last time I got spanked with a belt.
