A typical punishment spanking from my father growing up was over the knee by hand but with my underwear still on, in private. The most common way my punishments were ‘increased’ in severity was for him to order me to take off my underwear as well. 2 other spankings stand out as worse. This was embarrassing and more painful but it was just my dad. On one occasion he spanked me, over panties, in front of a boy who was sleeping over. I would have traded that experience for a private bare bottom spanking in a heart beat. The worst spanking I ever experienced was when I was spanked bare bottom in front of 7 of my cousins (girls and boys) when I was 11 along with my cousins Noah and Keith (age 13 and 10). The spanking was over in about 30 seconds, but the humiliation amplified the pain I felt enormously and I cried very real tears from the shame.

All of my spankings were painful and became embarrassing as I got older, but one stands out as being the most memorable. My mom was 36 when she had me, so all of my cousins were older than me. Some of them seemed more like aunts and uncles to me.

When I was 12, my parents went away for most of a week during the summer and I begged them to let me stay home so that I wouldn't miss summer soccer games. The answer was to have my cousin Lisa stay with me. Lisa was 19 at the time, lived in the area and was working close to our house. I didn't really need a babysitter, but having Lisa in charge and staying overnight seemed acceptable to all of us. Lisa was the cool cousin and my parents paid her to take responsibility.

Before they left, my mom gave me strict instructions on obeying Lisa and even said that she had authority to spank if needed. I didn't believe that Lisa would really do that and didn't plan on giving her trouble anyway. Things went fine for the first couple of days, but then I stopped listening to my cousin and wasn't respecting her authority. When I stayed out late with a neighborhood friend, Lisa read me the riot act.

Mom had shown Lisa the hairbrush and I couldn't believe it when she held it in her hand and led me over to the couch. By that time I felt badly about how I had disrespected her and also feared my mom's reaction when she got home. So my shorts and panties came down and I went over my "cool cousin's" knee. I don't recall it being an especially hard spanking, but it was humiliating for me.

Lisa has never told mom about my misbehavior or that she had to discipline me. Twenty five years later, I sure remember it though.
