Thanks for posting that Jenn.

My son was only ten when I first saw this! I freaked, and asked his pediatrician (who is one of those rare people in the field who is not against the judicious use of spanking). She said it was probably just fear and hormonal responses, not budding sexual arousal. But I have my doubts !

He is now eleven, and I have decreased the use of spanking considerably. But this is also because the misbehavior he was spanked for, has decreased. Isn't that the way it is suppose to work anyway?

My twin sister and I were spanked into our teen years. But it was for different types of behavior than little boys are generally spanked for. I appreciated the old newspaper article Grandma posted. Although short it touched on some of the differences. Looking back we were spanked mostly for mischievous and sneaky things. I think teenage boys are different in this regard then teenage girls.

In the end I think you hit the nail on the head that boys are boys and girls are girls, even though in this age of woke that is kind of a controversial idea.

But my son has two younger sisters. So I guess I will see!
