Whatever the reason for it, the spanking was always somehow accepted. I would love to see a play that revolves around a spanking, the aftermath, and possible its eventual conclusion in court. I wish I was literally-minded. The whole Helston story would make a great TV play. It seems that in real life the outcome is usually similar. Has anyone here ever considered taking action against a parent or teacher because a spanking was too hard or plain out of order these days?
