Yes, I think being a switch is a real thing. Sexually, if one is turned on by spanking, they can equally like to give and get. It could be compared to oral sex. With disciplinary spanking, some of us really are into the mental side of it. The spanking is punishment, and the punishment is deserved. The justice part is essential. When she is spanked, she should be ashamed of her behavior. She is paying a humbling penalty, and one can enjoy their role as disciplinarian or witness to her disgrace. The same person can also imagine themselves in this same position, and wish to see their own awful comeuppance.

I think there are almost always sexual feelings when spanking a girl or seeing her punished. But there is a big difference between play and real punishment because of the reason behind the spanking. With punishment, there are other very powerful emotions that compete with sexual arousal. Those emotions can even push the sexual feelings out of the picture if the situation is upsetting enough.

Yes, Lucy, I have the experience. Unless one has been punished like this as a child, they don't know the depth of feelings. It can be romanticized.

The desire to experience spanking punishment as an adult can be a desire to simulate as close as possible what a child goes through and, as such, the basic emotions remain relevant. A spanking can still feel like punishment. It can still be about the shame of misbehavior that calls for humbling consequences. It can also create some feelings of helplessness if approached in a certain way. And getting back to the question of a switch, an attraction to this experience can be broader than a single role. A switch is a person who can truly appreciate all roles, whether giving, getting or witnessing.
