Of course it's not normal, and you wouldn't have to ask on a forum like this if it was. You could just ask people you know in your life who have faces and real identities. You could go by what you've seen and heard in your 23 years on earth. I've never known anyone, or of anyone, who gets spanked by their parent at your age, but I'm sure it must happen here and there.

Does it matter if it's normal? As in common practice? What matters is what you want or want to agree to. Your parents at least are up front about it, telling you of their bizarre need to treat you like a child. If you're okay with it, then go for it. Otherwise, I would not allow myself to be manipulated by people taking advantage of my misfortune.
