I have been part of several the most memorable when I was 8 at a family reunion in the summer my grandparents on my mother’s side had a big house . I forget what we did but we went where we were told not too go my dad was chosen to do the spankings my grandmother had a small oval paddle dad used it there were 10 boys and 14 girls we were put in adjoining big room the boys went first then dad not into our room we had to get our age plus two I got ten swats I was the youngest the oldest 19 got 21 swats we had to line up youngest to oldest I went first . We were grounded inside the house for the rest of the day and we had to go to bed early as punishment also everybody even the boys cried .
