I have always heard the German version of "Those who can't learn, must feel." It sounds as though you are saying that even adjusted for the new times, there are still occasions when you think that spanking might be the best punishment for a grandchild. I am curious what features such situations would have, given that back home in Germany they have banned even mild spankings. I understand you are assuming the US environment.
