I'm obviously not JanR's father but as her uncle I can certainly tell you what my BIL would tell my niece. First of all, she better be wearing a bra. Second she would be told she is not participating in any protest. Jan already knows what is in store for her for any kind of school violation and it isn't pretty.

I think the rule makes sense. However, I can understand why a teenage daughter would want to protest it. As such, I would let her protest. However, she must be willing to accept the school's punishment. That is, if she gets detention, or ISS, I expect her to serve it without a fuss.

I see no reason to punish her if she does not want to protest the rule.
