When my mother hit my bottom with the wooden spoon, she always hit the same spot six, seven or eight times. My skin and muscles became more and more sensitive with every stroke, the pain became more and more unbearable until she finally changed the spot. Then it started all over again on another part of my buttocks. When my father used the cane, the welts lay nicely parallel from the coccyx to a hand's width on the thighs without overlapping. I also experience several licks across the same spot before he moves on to another location. Even after the second lick in the same place it becomes just sheer agony.
